SCOUTS NEEDED: EARTH DAY
The Lakeshore Earth Day Committee needs a few good Scouts on Saturday, April 21st.
11am to 2pm - Four scouts needed for set up and other tasks.
2pm to 4:30pm - Four scouts needed for tear down, moving rain barrels workshops, and other tasks.

SAVE THE DATE: UPCOMING EAGLE CEREMONIES
An Eagle Ceremony will be THIS SUNDAY, April 22nd at 2pm at First Baptist Church.
All Scouts should plan on being there at 1:30pm. Please wear your Class A uniform.

IMPORTANT MEETING FOR SCOUTS AND PARENTS - APRIL 24th
Flower orders due with money! Parents - Please plan on hanging out while money is counted. (see below for forms).
Shakedown for Spring Hikers (see below)! Anyone going on the April 27th hike must have anything they will be bringing at this meeting. Packs will be checked and placed in the troop trailer (those renting packs will be given a trash bag for contents until backpack is available). Packing list is listed here.
Crossovers Scouts will be putting together Personal First Aid Kits and Wilderness Survival kits.

Any Scouts attending summer camp need to have a new completed health form that Part C has been completed by a physician. These must be done by May 1st, 2012.
If you are an adult and plan on attending Summer Camp, you must have a clearance through the State of Michigan. This form is the DHS form. See the emailed newsletter for more information.

Venture Crew 9014
Venture Crew 9014 was formed in 2011 and is based in the Tri-Cities area. Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Scouting Since 1927
The troop was first chartered in February 1927 by the Spring Lake Community Committee. Since 1977 we have been chartered by the Spring Lake Lions Club.
